The Inaugural International Indigenous Salmon Peoples’ Gathering was held in over two days in October 2022. The Planning Team consisted of Indigenous representatives from Canada and Norway. Attendees hailed from Canada, Norway, Finland, USA, Russia, and Japan. The Gathering meant to convene Indigenous salmon peoples from across the world to share knowledge and build relationships.
